Animal Chiropractic Care

Animal chiropractic is the practice of spinal manipulation and manual therapies on animals, very similar to the chiropractic treatment of humans. It is an excellent drug free treatment option for animals that have various musculoskeletal conditions.

This type of therapy is to be used in conjunction with veterinary medicine. It is not to be used to replace proper medical management of your pet. With more serious musculoskeletal conditions including fractures or ligament tears, chiropractic care will not replace the possible need for surgery but it can absolutely help with compensatory changes because of the injury.

Improvements that can be seen include improvements in gait as well as reduction of pain. These treatments are beneficial for performance animals, injured animals, athletes, show animals and family pets. Not only can it be used in animals that are elderly or injured, it is also important for healthy animals to maintain flexibility, movement and quality of life.
